Electrocardiogram – ECG
Detection of acute heart attacks and severe blood supply disorders of the heart muscle, identification of past infarctions, and differentiation of cardiac arrhythmias.
Exercise ECG – Ergometry
Detection of insufficient blood supply to the heart muscle during physical exertion. Identification of stress-induced arrhythmias and evaluation of blood pressure response under physical stress.
Holter Monitor (Long-term ECG)
Recording of the ECG during daily activities using a microchip and a portable device. It documents the heart rhythm over an extended period (usually 24 hours up to 7 days) to diagnose and differentiate significant arrhythmias.
Implantable Loop Recorder (ILR)
ECG recording using an “Event Recorder.” This is used to detect rare arrhythmias that may not be captured during a standard Holter monitor period because they occur infrequently (e.g., only once a month).
